Venicia 8-11 April

Lydia had to work over Easter so we had a replacement holiday last week in Venice. Had a very interesting time - it is a very diverse little city. One moment you’re competing for room with hordes of tourists in squares and alleyways, the next your footsteps are echoing along a deserted, dark alleyway (until you run into a hurried local who glares at you for taking up the whole footpath). We got lost a lot; often the little windy path will end abruptly on the edge of a rio (mini canal), meaning you have to retrace your steps!
Highlights included the busy glass blowers at work in Morano and our meal at Taverna Del Campeillo Remer (more…)
